Technique sampler is an opportunity for students to get hands on experience with a technique featuring Quilting, Sewing, or Textile Multi Media.
  • Perfect class to "Jump In" and try something new.

  • An optional additional charge may occur for a class due to any products needed.
  • Items will be listed and we will advise if you need your machine or not.

Ice dying is an easy and fun way to turn ordinary fabric into beautiful one of a kind fabric you can use in a multitude of ways. From applique, quilting and garments. The fabrics for dying should be 100% natural fiber no synthetic fibers at all. Cotton and linen fibers work best.
 
Supply List
- We are making a kit (40.00) that includes the dyes, mordant and safety equipment. 
- Wear clothing you do not care if they get stained.
- NOTE; ANY MATERIALS THAT COME IN CONTACT WITH THE DYE OR MORTANT CAN NO LONGER BE USED FOR FOOD.
- Wire rack to fit over basin 
- Basin to contain the melted ice
- A container to hold the used dye liquid
- Bag of ice
- .5 meter fabric for dying - we have prepared for dyeing fabric (PFD) you can purchase for the class. If you are using a fabric that is not PFD you         will have to wash it prior class to remove any dirt and sizing. Please DO NOT use fabric softeners or drier sheets on the fabric.  The rest of the         prep can be done in class.

CUDDLETEX VERSION - MATERIALS REQUIRED
This microfibre fabric provides warmth without excessive weight, doesn’t pill, sews easily and will condense to a firmer compact pillow, therefore the measurements for the pillow panel are a bit smaller to help it keep it’s shape.

Doesn’t require batting inside for warmth or stability. It assembles easily within hours.
FABRIC SUPPLIES: - This is the version we will make in the class
PRINTED PANEL < 12” square
12 X 12”” fleece or batting for panel front
1.25 m CUDDLETEX 90” wide for coziness and simplicity. (or 1.6 m if using 71” width of Cuddletex)
1.9 m (74”) x 45” (115 cm) wide PRINT – (cotton or cotton/poly)

OR
(Optional: if choosing to use the same prints for pillow front as the print for the blanket – you will need
2.3 m of Print fabric.)

This spacious organizer stores and carries tools and supplies in as many pockets. The bag features handles and adjustable/detachable carrying strap along with two removable pocket pages with mesh or vinyl pockets in a variety of styles.

Join Dale Quadros for a three day experience, building your very own "A Place for Everything 2.0".

This course will take place over three consecutive Saturdays, as we learn all the tips and tricks for an expert fit and finish.

We will cover quilting, zipper installations, working with mesh and clear vinyl.

Adjustable shoulder straps and using a stiletto for the best results.

 lil twister ruler for 5" blocks
- if possible to make the class go smoother pre cut your 5 " blocks,

design board ( if you made one in the coffee beans class)

Bring your machine and join our techs for 3 hours as they will teach you how to "Maintain
your machine"

The techs will introduce you to the the 10 biggest issues that cause machines to act up!
Beginner or seasoned, this class will save you money in the long run.

Special note
If you are taking the class to get your machine going again.
At the end of the class, we find your machine needs a service, the cost of the class will be credited to a machine service.

Does your husband "Help you clean your machine"
We suggest you bring your husband with you.
Husbands are known to "know everything"
Our techs will help your husbands better understand, why you get frustrated when they want to help.

Price of the class is for one machine - Husband & Wife can come together.
Marriage counselling is not provided.
