Mystery Boxes have been shipped! - 90" Cuddletex for Backing!
Hi Everyone
Last week we introduced 90" Cuddletex into the store.
On Wednesday we had a Guild using our classroom for a sewday.
Rhonda, a guild member, was making a quilt top for our store.
The pattern was from a Fabric Cafe Book
We decided to use turqoise Cuddletex for the backing.
Many ladies from the guild said they never used a fabric like Cuddletex on the back before.
WHY?
- Difficult to sew.
- Heavy
- Never thought of mixing polyester and cotton together in a quilt.
Rhonda fell in love with Cuddletex!
HERE ARE THE CUDDLETEX RESULTS!
- No batting was put in the quilt to make the quilt light weight.
- Cuddletex did not stretch, creating beautiful stitching.
- No microfuzz after the cuddletex was cut.
- Want batting in the quilt - Use Bamboo from Pellon
- Cuddletex can be used on the front and back of a quilt.
Yesterday a longarmer finished a queen size quilt using Navy Cuddletex.
The exact quote from professional longarmer.
"I normally stay away from Minky or Fireside because of the stretch, I was able to put Cuddletex on the machine, stretch the Cuddletex tight.
The Cuddletex only has a minimal one way stretch, therfore the quilting on the back looked better than the front."
Unfortunatly the consumer picked up the quilt before we could take a picture,
