Lorna will help you create a collage of colour on a pillow using fabric and thread.

This one day event will stir up your creative juices.

Join Lorna to create a unique whimsical insect/butterfly in collage/applique using bonding and layering techniques with heat n bond. Free motion stitching the layers of fabrics together creates a beautiful textural surface.
You can work from your own imagination or use a booklet of lornas drawings that can be used as a template for the design. (booklets cost $5 from Lorna).
The more contrast in colour and pattern, the more fun your design will be.
MATERIALS
SEWING MACHINE with both straight stitching and free motion feet pencil, black sharpie a few sheets of tracing paper machine thread....black plus an assortment of colours you like FABRIC....plain and patterned . good contrasts would be great for this project. cottons, linens, silks, light to medium weight fabrics. A piece of heavier weight fabric to collage on to. eg. wool melton, denim, heavier canvas. ( 20'sq or 14x24' rectangle.) these dimensions will fit standard size pillow forms. a metre of wonderunder or heat n bond irons and ironing pads of boards big piece of cardboard that you can use to transport your collage from machine to ironing station looking froward to seeing everyone at the workshop. it'll be a fun experimental day and you can take home what you started in class and either frame it , quilt it or stuff it.

Educators time and classroom space has been booked and paid for in advance.
In the event you do need to cancel a class/classroom, you will receive a full refund if cancelled within 4 weeks of the event.
Inside 4 weeks, no refunds will be issued unless the student experiences a major incident. Management will asses each individual situation,
at which time a gift card will be issued if approved.
